David Kinney

Dave Kinney, a Senior Vice President at SUMMIT Commercial Real Estate, LLC, has over 40 years of experience in commercial real estate. First licensed in 1979 and starting with a national real estate company, Mr. Kinney joined The Ezra Company in 1981 where he was a top producer and eventually opened and managed their first Virginia office.  His role as manager included hiring and training many successful commercial brokers over the years. With incredible market knowledge and decades of creative and tenacious negotiating experience, he has been a valuable resource to his
many tenant and purchaser clients.

Mr. Kinney’s commitment to excellence and cost-effective results is best evidenced by the large number of repeat clients he represents, not only locally but nationally as well. Throughout his career, he has focused exclusively on representing tenants or buyers in their search, analysis, and negotiation for office or other facilities. Transactions include leases, lease renegotiations and renewals, buy-outs, termination options, acquisitions/dispositions, sale/leasebacks, build to suits/buy to suits, and complex commercial condominium conversions. While primarily based in the Washington DC metro area, many of his clients have ongoing real estate requirements from Florida to California.

Mr. Kinney provides creative lease and purchase brokerage services to a wide variety of clients including trade associations, corporations, tech, schools, law firms, and government contractors.  Some of these include Novell, Xerox, Delex Systems, KSK Communications, IMC, Vie De France, Lab Corp, Rees Broome, BRTRC, EM Solutions, American Anthropological Association, Council for Exceptional Children, National Wholesale Druggists Association, and many others.

Mr. Kinney is an Associate Broker in Virginia and a licensed salesperson in Washington DC and Maryland.

University of Oregon is his alma mater where he graduated with honors with a BS in Finance/Real Estate and was a member of the business honor society.

Mr. Kinney volunteers at So Others May Eat (SOME) where he cooks breakfast for 300 teams on occasion and is a volunteer SCUBA diver at the National Aquarium in Baltimore where he has accumulated over 2000 volunteer hours over 10 years- much of it underwater!
